Editing a module form

I'm trying to edit a module form, but I can't seem to find the button for adding a field. I only see buttons for adding a "many to many" and "geocoding".

How do I add a field to a form?

Re: Editing a module form

If there are unused (non-reserved) database columns in the table the form is using they will appear in a dropdown in the top right corner of the form.

Re: Editing a module form

What types of columns correspond to the BigTree types of fields?

Re: Editing a module form

The Field Types provides a recommendation for column type for each of the fields. Mostly you'll be using VARCHAR (we usually go with 255 length) for all fields other than text areas, HTML, and date related fields.

Re: Editing a module form

Thanks!

Are there any plans on being able to create new columns directly from the CMS?

Not currently, but if it's something you're interested in post an issue in GitHub and we'll tag it as an enhancement request for a future release!
